Mississippi House passes conservation legislation that will bring millions of dollars to the state
The Mississippi’s House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed historic legislation that paves the way for a long-term conservation program bringing with it opportunities for tens of millions of dollars in annual investments for Mississippi’s great outdoors.

Both the Mississippi House of Representatives and the Senate have overwhelmingly approved legislation that will create a much-needed conservation program, the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund.
However, there remain significant differences in both bills at this time.

Bills in the Mississippi Legislature call to create a fund for parks and trails, improving hunting and fishing opportunities and protecting clean water.
